Hi there, I am Birte from Donostia. I have been living here for about 10 years now, before that I lived in Berlin for about 6 years. Born in northern Germany, I am quite happy living here in the beautiful Basque Country and I started to be interested (again) in Fibre Arts and Crafts. I called this blog BIDOLA which stands for BirteDonostiLanak. Lanak is the Basque word for ‘work’ in plural (at least I think so) and therefore this site is about all I do and work for in my free time. This personal blog will be mainly about Natural Fibres like wool from sheep, other animal fibres and also vegetable fibres like flax. I also experiment with natural dyes. I will include personal experiences in this blog but also projects that I do for Mestiza Berdea.
