Estoy totalmente emocionada que la prueba de un hilo que hice de la lana de Iletegia fue seleccionada para representar una fibra local de un ‘Fibershed‘. Hace alrededor de medio año los directores de la revista Spin Off pidieron a los lectores que les enviaran pruebas de lanas locales, para mostrar la importancia de los ‘Fibersheds’. Como suelo hilar lanas locales, les envié 5 metros de la lana que había comprado de Iletegia: que consiste de 70% de lana Latxa / Manech y 30% de lana Tarasconnaise. I am really excited that the sample I had spun from the batt I had bought from Iletegia was chosen to present a yarn spun from local wool. This challenge was meant to promote the idea of the fibershed movement (I think). About half a year ago, the editors of Spin Off asked the readers to send them samples of yarns from their fibersheds. So, since I usually spin the local wools, I sent them 5 meters of the yarn that I had spun from the batt I had bought from Iletegia: 70% Latxa, 30% Tarasconnaise.
