Happy San Jose Day everybody! Although we cannot see any real difference between each day these days (except if you are working in health services), I think we should act as normal as possible. So today is like a Sunday and I would like to show you my recent creation:
I had started a cowl with some of my hand spun Montesina yarn in November last year. When I had finished it, I thought that the rest might just be enough for a hat and so it turned out: I have started the hat at the rim and closed it at the top. As it was a bit short, I added two rows of crochet at the bottom.
As you can see in the following photo, I also have a new pair of mittens: These are the outcome of a mittalong in the SpinOff-Ravelry group: the challenge was to spin some yarn and knit some mittens with it beginning January 17th and ending March 20th. So when I realised that I had spun the red Friesisches Milchschaf wool, I just picked some broken black merino Top for the main colour yarn and spun that. I can only invite all spinners to join the Ravelry group and spin along with us once in a while.

¡Feliz Día de San José! Aunque los días me parecen bastante iguales últimamente (no trabajo en el sector sanitario), creo que es importante acutar con la más normalidad que podemos. Por eso os quiero mostrar mis últimas creaciones:
Había empezado un cuello con la lana Montesina que tenía hilada a mano en noviembre del año pasado. Terminado el cuello, me sobraba tanta lana que pensaba que podía ser suficiente para un gorro. Y así fue: Tejí un gorro de abajo arriba. Como resultó algo corto, añadí dos vueltas de ganchillo al borde abajo.
Como podéis ver en la photo arriba, también tengo un par de mitones nuevos: Éstos son el resultado de un ‘mittalong‘ del grupo «SpinOff» de Ravelry que empezó el 17 de enero y va a terminar el 20 de marzo. El objetivo era (o más bien, todavía es), que se hila la lana para un par de mitones o guantes en este período. Tenía la lana roja del Friesisches Milchschaf (enlace en francés, perdón, no había en castellano) ya hilada y solo me faltaba la lana de contraste. Elegí un roving negro de un top de merino. Ha sido una experiencia muy agradable porque mitones son un proyecto pequeño e hilar para esto se puede conseguir en poco tiempo. Quiero invitar a todas las personas hilanderas a unirse al grupo de Spin-Off knitters & spinners en Ravelry.
